Endometriosis
Periods so painful you miss school, work, or life? Pain with sex? Constant fatigue?
At Kansas City Integrative Health (KCIH) in Overland Park, we hear you—endometriosis is more than cramps. It’s tissue growing outside the uterus, swelling with your cycle, causing agony, infertility, and exhaustion. Many women suffer for years, ignoring the pain or hearing “it’s normal” from doctors who prescribe birth control to mask it. The average diagnosis takes 7–10 years, often after dismissing symptoms or failed birth control pill trials. If you missed high school events from period pain (and still do), that’s a major red flag. Some have “silent” endometriosis—no obvious signs until fertility struggles or routine scans reveal it.
